Position Overview

As a member of Enterprise Architecture team, the Solution Architect Intern will help BorgWarner developing cost-effective solutions for business and IT initiatives. The SA Intern will contribute on creating technology roadmaps, standards, and reference architectures either at the business domain level or the enterprise level.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and implementation of BorgWarner solutions.

• Analyse functional and non-functional requirements and translate them to reliable and cost-effective solution architecture that would encompass all the solution elements: Application layers, Integration, Data architecture, Business Intelligence, and Infrastructure dependency.

• Support the creation and the update of the BorgWarner EA assets.

• Develop logical, conceptual, and physical architectural models for the targeted solution.

• Define EA standards and technology roadmaps.

• Contribute to POCs and support the development and maintenance of BorgWarner tools and platforms.

• Foster innovation through a continuous technology watch.

What we’re looking for?

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field at the time of application.

• Familiarity with the syntax of programming languages like Java, JavaScript, C/C++/C#, or Python and SQL, NoSQL database concepts is recommended.

• Good knowledge of core Computer Science principles, including object-oriented design, algorithm design, data structures, problem solving and complexity analysis.

• Strong verbal and written communication in English, with the ability to present topics in front of a larger audience.

• Self-Management: Proven ability to work independently towards achieving a goal.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Data Modelling and DevSecOps methodology.

• Ability to understand and address complex business requirements, and capacity to agilely adapt to changing business and IT needs and contexts.
