The internship project is intended to improve our IxVerify traffic generator by adding support for simulating network faults. These faults, called traffic impairment, include packet loss, packet delays, packet duplication, packet corruption and packet drops.

This project will have an immediate impact in the networking industry and will be used to test a variety of traffic scenarios. One of the main uses cases that requests such a feature is testing the RoCEv2 (remote DMA over converged Ethernet) design used extensively in data centers infrastructure, with the focus on AI/ML infrastructure testing.

Keysight owns a wide variety of Network Traffic Generators used by our clients to test their switches, routers, servers and even test their chip designs. IxVerify specializes in creating such a product that aims to help chip designers (Broadcom, Intel, Marvel, etc) catch bugs as early as possible in their design and manufacture cycles.
