DPDK offers a large variety of built-in libraries that can be used to enhance DPDK applications performance. Starting from simple features such as a built-in hash table or vlan hardware offloading to more complex features: flow API, libevent, fib library for longest prefix match.

The goal of this project is to use 5g SBI DPDK application as a lab rat for all these features. They can bring tremendous performance enhancement and simplify the codebase. Moreover, libraries such as dpdk FIB can be used to bring new functionalities to 5g SBI such as filtering.

CloudLens - Keysight's platform for public, private, and hybrid cloud visibility, CloudLens enables packet capture, filtering, and analysis to provide dynamic network intelligence in any cloud environment.

What you will gain: • Get a glimpse over 5G SBI application, understanding how DPDK is used in high-rate traffic processing environments. • Get a good understanding of best practices concerning writting efficient C code in regards to processing packets. • Get a good understanding of how to use DPDK to get the best out of a system's hardware and software.
