Microchip Technical Support in short CAE (Corporate Application Engineer) is a challenging job. Throughout the day a support intern will do any combination of activities described below:
Use Microchip development kits or design new ones to help replicate the customer design environment to find out a solution a customer issue. The tools we frequently use are: Microchip Development Kits and Tools, Microchip Programmers and Debuggers, Microchip IDE and Compilers, Microchip Frameworks, Third Party Tools, Oscilloscopes, Adjustable Power Supplies, Breadboards, Software Simulators and much more; Assist customers with hardware & software design and development; Assist customers with Microchip development tools operation, failure diagnosis and replacement; Generation of collateral via application notes, technical briefs, and knowledge base articles; Review of Datasheet and Application Notes before and after release to public.
Qualifications/Requirements:
3rd / 4th year student in Automatics or Electronics and Telecommunication or Electrical Faculty; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to multitask (in every given day each engineer tackles multiple open customer situations); Familiarity with Assembly Language and C Programming; Fluent in English is mandatory, both written and spoken; Learn quickly and able to be in the right gear all the time.
