As a Configuration Specialist you are responsible the Implementation of the Configuration Management system for the project, the consistency of information in the configuration management system and for the establishment of reference baselines (FBL, ABL, PBL).
It also involves the following tasks: • Participates in the analysis of contractual requirements for Configuration Management (in the bid and project phases). • Tailors the Organisation Configuration Management system and customer requirements for the project and transcribes them into a Configuration Management Plan, implements the provisions of the Configuration Management Plan and makes sure they are followed. • Builds the artefacts for solution integration, taking as input the product deliveries • Defines the System Label and applies it on the artefacts stored in Clear Case • Creates the System Version Description Document • Stores the project configuration (SW & HW) into long-term archive (Palma/SharedPalma) • With subcontractors and suppliers, ensures the application of Configuration Management requirements (SOW, etc) and ensures the follow-up of configuration management requirements • Participates, with respect to the criteria, in the selection of Configuration items selected for configuration monitoring • Animates, organizes and manages the Configuration Control Board (CCB) as well as pre and post CCB activities (including administrative tasks). • Participates in the phase reviews (PDR, CDR, etc) and in configuration audits (FCA and PCA)
You have: • Knowledge of IVVQ process • Basic skill of railway procedures, processes and rules • Knowledge on Clearcase • Knowledge Linux/Solaris • Knowledge Palma • A positive attitude combined with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office
