ThemIsle is a passionate tech team dedicated to building innovative and user-friendly in-house WordPress products. We create themes and plugins that enhance the WordPress experience for thousands of users worldwide, prioritizing quality, design, and usability.

On what you’ll be working on?

You will:

• Develop and maintain our in-house WordPress themes, plugins and internal tools.
• Gain hands-on experience with technologies that power the Web.
• Experience working with codebases that power up to 600,000 users.
• Improve UI/UX across our range of WordPress products.
• Learn about optimizing WordPress applications for performance, security, and SEO.
• Engage in real-world tasks that directly impact our user base.

The starting date will be 1 July 2025. The duration of the internship will be 3 months with full presence at our office in Bucharest.

What kind of people are we looking for?

You’re a great fit if you:

• Possess foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Have a good understanding of version control systems (GitHub).
• Are detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.
• Enjoy working independently but thrive within a collaborative team.
• See feedback as an opportunity to learn and grow.
• Possess good communication skills and proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
• Knowing PHP and/or WordPress is considered a bonus.

The interview process

Upon application, you’ll receive a small practical project designed to assess your skills in developing simple web applications and implementing new features.

After reviewing your submitted project, selected candidates will be invited for an interview to further discuss the opportunity and explore your potential fit within our team. In case of a high volume of applications, please note that individual feedback may not be provided.
