Why This Role Exists
Our apps are used by millions of people worldwide. Behind every subscription, login, recommendation, and experiment, there’s a backend system that needs to be reliable, scalable, and clean.
This role is for someone who wants to learn how real consumer backend systems are built and scaled. You won’t just write endpoints. You’ll learn how backend engineering connects with product, growth, payments, and experimentation in a real global business.
You’ll work closely with Product and Engineering and understand how core systems evolve as a company grows.
What You’ll Learn & Do
You’ll learn how to build and improve backend systems that power subscriptions and core product flows.
You’ll:
- Develop and improve APIs and core services.
- Work on authentication, subscriptions, and payments.
- Fix bugs and improve performance and reliability.
- Learn about scalability, observability, and CI/CD basics.
- Collaborate with frontend and mobile engineers.
- Use AI tools to speed up debugging and development.
- Understand how backend decisions affect product metrics.
You’ll ship real improvements and gradually take ownership of meaningful parts of the system.
Tech You’ll Work With
Python, Django, PostgreSQL, AWS, CI/CD pipelines.
You don’t need to master everything on day one, you’ll grow into it by building and shipping.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with solid programming fundamentals and curiosity about how systems work at scale.
If you enjoy solving real problems, care about clean architecture, and want to understand how backend powers a consumer product business, you’ll fit in well.
